I'm a very proud QLD gal, having grown up on the Sunshine Coast. I have lived in New Zealand and the Solomon Islands, and spent time in Brisbane and Hervey Bay too. Although the Coast has always been home to me, and I am now back living in the cute hinterland town that I was born in. I recently turned 40, and the only downside I can see so far is that I haven't been able to jet off to Hawaii and France for the epic 40th parties I have been planning since I was 15! I work full time in a small school for young people disengaged from mainstream school, and it's both rewarding and harrowing, and I love it.
I had a small cupcake business years ago in Brisbane, and part of my first website had a little blog page where I shared everything from new recipes to the fun stuff I was doing on the weekend. I'm a pretty opinionated person and I've always enjoyed writing, so when I closed down my business (I luckily got out just before the cupcake boom crashed, haha!), I kept the blog page going and kept sharing.
I don't have a celebrity fashion icon, truly. While I love a good flick through a glossy fashion magazine, I have always much preferred taking inspo from non-celebrity women and how they put things together in their unique ways... mainly my close friends! I'm glad that a bunch of my closest real-life friends are actual Instagram influencers, because I am CONSTANTLY asking them about their outfits and love styling stuff that they wear in my own way. Check out #thefashionablefour on Insta to see what I mean... I'm lucky to have such fun and stylish friends!
Oh, this is easy! An AMAZING white linen shirt (the Eden from Stylefast is great), a denim jacket because I refuse to give up on my Summery outfits on cooler days, and a staple pair of sunnies that you are known for. I've been wearing tortoiseshell Rayban Clubmaster Sunnies for about three years now, and that was after seven years of wearing Rayban Aviators. Find something you love and stick with it, they'll pull you together on days you aren't quite 'feeling it'.
Another easy question! For me, as I work full-time away in an environment very removed from fashion, I love working with brands that feel like friends. I don't want my social media work to ever feel like work-work, and so far, it never has! I choose to work with mainly female-run businesses, and ideally they have the same sense of colour and fun as me. I also am passionate about customer service, so I only work with businesses like Stylefast who go the extra mile and wrap their parcels beautifully, and are engaging on social media.
As I've said, social media is a part-time gig for me, and I try to limit how much 'work' goes into it. I'm fortunate to have a bestie doing the same thing (check out Peta at @traineemama - I love her so very much) and we generally take each other's outfit pics once or twice a week (or as often as we get the chance to hang out). We don't batch photo shoot, it's pretty much a 'snap what we're wearing' situation, and we both love to keep it very real on social media... what you see is what you get! We shoot pics around 7.00am after she drops her kids at school and before we head off to work, then a quick edit (no filtering or photoshop, just a brighten if it was a darker morning), then post that day. Simple! I also just capture a lot of my day on stories, and the clothes that I'm wearing are a natural extension of that, so you'll see a lot of my daily outfits there too.
Always my mood and the weather first! If it's cold or rainy, I wear colour to brighten my day (and the day of those around me), or if it's a Summery warm day, I wear colour and print to reflect how much I love that kind of weather. I'm also big on comfort - I won't wear something uncomfortable just because it's in fashion.
This is a bit tricky, I'm not a stylist and I certainly don't subscribe to any of the classic fashion rules - so my biggest tip is that if you love it, wear it! Also, as we head into Spring, wear more colour near your face, it'll make others smile at you, and you'll smile back. Don't forget to get a pedicure as the weather gets warmer as well, and choose a bold bright colour, it'll pick you up immediately!
Let me repeat... denim jacket. It's honestly the easiest layer ever, and I have a couple of different denim jackets that literally live in my car for this exact reason. My bright pink one is a fave to spice up an outfit. Oh, and don't forget a statement earring (I wear them for daytime too, but not everyone does) and a coloured lip. Instant glam for minimal effort!
I'm so fortunate to have worked with some of my very favourite brands on great campaigns, but a highlight would definitely be filming a TV commercial alongside my best friend for a Spring/Summer fashion campaign for a major shopping centre. That was so much fun, especially to do it with Peta!
]]>Hello, I’m Adriana. I work full time as a primary school teacher in Melbourne. I’m also a qualified makeup artist and worked as one before I began my career in teaching.
I am a little bit of a foodie, particularly addicted to brunch. On the weekends you’ll find me brunching and sipping decaf almond lattes. I wish I could say I loved wine, but I’m more of a cocktail girl, especially if there’s an espresso martini.
In my spare time...I mean who has spare time? Ha! I love to bake and cook and find it super therapeutic to wind down. Some people think I’m weird because I love it that much, but I’d rather cook/bake than read or watch TV.
Ever since I was little, I’ve always had a passion for fashion and styling. I was that kid that used to get changed into three different outfits each day pretending to go to different places. I started my Instagram when I was in university and originally it was more teaching content rather than fashion focused. It made a shift to be a fashion/lifestyle blog about a year and a half ago now. I wanted to share my fashion finds with everyone and share how I styled pieces together. I’m a bit of a bargain buyer and love pieces that are versatile and can be worn over and over.
Surprisingly I actually don’t have one. Weird, I know!
I’d definitely have to say a black blazer, white tee and white sneakers. Whilst so many pieces of clothing can be versatile when styled, these three would definitely have to be up there as my favourite 3. They can be styled with literally anything, as well as dressed up or down. Those mornings when I feel I have nothing to wear, I always reach for these pieces and pair them with a suitable bottom piece depending on what I have on, whether that’s a black pleated skirt, denim, leather pants etc.
I will only take on brands that my personal style aligns with. I would hate to style certain pieces of clothing that just aren't me. I think it's important to stay genuine to who you are!
It’s hard to put an exact time on it, and I think that’s something that people don’t really understand about brand collaborations. Whilst they can look super easy to your audience because you’re just ‘wearing the clothes and taking photos/creating reels’, behind the scenes there is so much more than that that goes into it. Each brand collaboration process isn’t always the same. Some brands will send through briefs of what they’re proposing to be posted. This could include how many stories/posts they’re wanting, what sort of setting they’re wanting the photos to be styled in etc. Some collaborations involve more time as location shooting takes time and there are many factors you need to consider when planning a location shoot, such as the weather and transport time. Once you’ve worked with the same brands for a period of time they trust and love what you do, so genuinely leave it up to you.
I get inspiration in various ways. I’m forever on Instagram and browsing other social media avenues such as Pinterest, so I often get some inspo off there. Whilst some of my inspiration comes from social media, a lot of it actually comes from trial and error. I have a good eye for what I think will work and am forever mixing and matching pieces to see what works and what versatility can be styled from a piece.
1. Don’t be afraid to wear colour, whether it’s a vibrant one or more of a pastel. If you aren’t someone that particularly enjoys wearing colour, start small until it grows on you and then build from that. Ways to start small in colour could be wearing a pop of colour on your lips or wearing clothing that incorporates colour within its design, such as a tee with colour graphics. Pastel is a nice hue to look at when experimenting with colour as it isn’t so much ‘in your face’.
2. Choose pieces that have their own features to elevate an outfit. For example, padding in tops are coming up here and there. The feature of this is situated on the upper body, so I’d balance this out by having a bottom piece that isn’t tight fitted. Some other pieces that have their own statement features are wide leg pants (seriously trending!), off the shoulder tops, frill cuffing, and tops with slight balloon sleeves.
3. Tonal dressing. It looks light and fresh and is perfect for the pop of warmer weather we get in Spring. Tonal dressing doesn’t always have to be in your brighter colours, neutrals paired together also are a stand out. When tonal dressing, don’t be afraid to experiment with different textures, as well as accessorise to make the outfit pop.
- Look at the pieces you're wearing and see if they can be styled differently. Can your top be tied in a knot for a different look? Can it be tucked/untucked? If you're wearing a skirt, can this be tied?
- Add some lipstick to make the outfit pop. Red us such a classic and always my go-to!
- Add some accessories that will elevate your look...think statement earrings or necklace.
- Change up your hairstyle.
I’ve had many moments that have brought a huge smile to my face. I think something that makes me the happiest are the relationships I’ve built with not only the brands I collaborate with, but my followers too. I feel like I have such a hype family behind me and love connecting with them all. Whilst I share fashion ideas with my audience in hope
to give them some tips and inspiration, my following also make my day and being on Instagram every day is actually something I truly love. In addition to this, I love being able to shed light on many businesses I collaborate with, whether they are of a large following or a smaller business.
As such, we decided to work with the team at Rylo Co, an award-winning Brisbane Build, Renovation & Design Studio run by husband and wife team, Ryan and Lauren. The warehouse space needed to be functional and practical as we have new styles and boxes arriving daily. It was intimidating at first but also really exciting! We started with the blank empty shell of the warehouse and were able to design the entire space the way that we wanted.
For the main warehouse, our first step was to add functional shelving that our warehouse manager can use, ensuring it is easy to unpack each style and place it into the shelving. We also wanted a large packing space for all of our online orders. This space had to include large decks with shelving to store the necessary items for packing our online orders; this includes envelopes, wash bags, packing tape, and stationary. Finally, we ensured there is a desk at a comfortable height so you can either stand or sit while packing orders. We also wanted to separate our office space from the main warehouse so we closed in the stairs and created a separate upstairs office.
With our office, we wanted to provide a WOW factor as people entered. As such, we have a stunning large Slim Aarons piece before you walk up the stairs to a large open plan office.
When you walk into our main office, we have 3 large share-desks. These desks can fit up to 4 staff members and where you will find our Digital Marketing team and HR and Office Manager. From here, you can also see our kitchen, complete with a large bench, oven, and a fridge.
We also included a large wooden dining table, with a fun pineapple chandelier over the top! Staff break for lunch and will sit at the table each day. We also use this space for our weekly meetings and catch-ups.
Near the desks, we have a ‘shop rack’ which is a replica of the racks we have in our store in Martha Street. We use this rack to plan out our next story, which is the collection of styles we are releasing next. We put a lot of thought and planning into this as we want it to look aesthetically pleasing, not only on our website but also across our social media platforms. We also want to ensure we include a range of styles and shapes in each collection we release.
Moving into the main office, through the large white French door, you will find the desk of the owner and starter of StyleFast, Lauren. We love this office for a few reasons! It is beautifully styled but also very functional with our very own photoshoot studio, which is used for all our photoshoots every fortnight. We have three large racks where all the new styles are steamed and on display ready for the next shoot and a large mirror.
Rylo Co went above and beyond and we love our new warehouse and we are excited to share it with you!

At StyleFast, we offer free shipping and ship all orders the next day to ensure all of our customers are receiving their orders efficiently. From Monday to Friday, Izzy arrives at 7:30am to dispatch the previous day’s online orders and organise in-store pick-ups. This involves printing all invoices and shipping labels and pulling stock from the store to fulfill orders, before heading to the warehouse to pack and complete dispatch. Izzy will then take all the completed in-store pick-ups back to the boutique, where all customers will be notified that their order is ready to collect. Did you know we have next-day collection for all in-store pick-ups? So convenient for locals! On Saturday, I arrive at 7:30am to complete these same duties so all weekend orders can be shipped on Monday or collected in-store on Saturday.
Tracey, the Store Manager or one of the Casual Sales Assistants arrives at 8:30am from Monday to Saturday to get the store ready for a 9am opening. This includes dressing the mannequin that sits outside the boutique, ensuring the store's presentation is immaculate and tidy with each rack in size order and familiarising the new arrivals that have just landed.
Once the doors are open, we commence our daily duties. This includes pulling stock from the store to fulfill online orders or in-store pick-up and storing them in the back room for collection the following morning, replenishing stock from the shop floor as it sells, steaming garments so they are ready to be worn, answering customer enquiries over the phone and re-styling all five mannequins.
Our biggest priority at StyleFast is to provide exceptional customer service. We aim to make each visit special and unique, by offering clothing recommendations personalised to your figure, style, budget and occasion and showing you how to style the garments to create a full outfit and how easily these garments will fit into your current wardrobe. Do you have an occasion to go to, or do you need to purchase everyday basics? There is something for everyone at StyleFast and all of the staff are here to help and give you our undivided attention. If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them and assist you with any enquiries.
As you all know, StyleFast releases new styles online daily. Unfortunately not all of our items can fit in-store, however we aim to have new styles arriving into store three times a week. Izzy and Rob, the StyleFast Business Manager will drop over the stock, where Tracey and the team will then organise the stock in the back room and re-merchandise the store to accommodate the new styles and colour stories to help customers select garments. Lauren, the Owner of StyleFast will also visit the boutique throughout the week after it's closed to re-merchandise and optimise the presentation as well.
When the time hits 4pm, or 5pm on Thursdays and 3pm on Saturdays, the doors are closed and it's time for the staff to clean the boutique. This involves dusting, wiping all benches, vacuuming and our favourite, finger spacing (which we know you love!).
Then we do it all again the next day!
We hope you have enjoyed reading about a day in the life of working at the StyleFast Boutique. Stay tuned for the next one!
]]>I grew up in Newcastle, NSW and made the big move to Melbourne by myself when I was 23. Not long after moving, I met my now hubby. I’ve now been here for 13 years and I have 2 boys, Luca and Jobe (almost 7 and almost 5). I worked in fashion retail for many years and I have always had a strong love of all things fashion. I absolutely love Melbourne, but really miss the beaches and the weather up north.
I have always been a massive fashion lover, but I kind of lost my mojo after having babies. I felt frumpy and I wasn’t enjoying clothing like I used to. When my youngest was about 6 months old, I decided to get out of my slump, get back in shape and that’s when my passion for fashion returned. I spent many hours scrolling my phone whilst feeding and discovered so many amazing small businesses to purchase from. From there I started sharing my outfits just as a little hobby; an escape from mum-life if you will. Then slowly over the last 4 years, it has evolved to where it is now.
I mostly work with brands that I already know and love. They are small businesses that offer fun and affordable styles for everyone. They are businesses that value every customer and every follower.
That would have to be the floral dresses. I have so many, they are a staple in my wardrobe. I love to wear dresses year-round.
I absolutely love hats! I think they make such fun accessories and I also love earrings to make me feel that little more elevated.
I think a floaty dress that has a fun bold print is perfect for summer. You can throw it over your bathers or pop on some heels and head out.
That would definitely be soft, knitted sweaters. They pair perfectly with jeans and joggers but are great for styling with maxi skirts or over dresses as well.
I really think the choice of footwear is key for taking your outfit from day into night. Simply wearing a sneaker can make any outfit more casual, while swapping them out for a more dressier shoe, perhaps with a heel or wedge, can take your outfit to the next level.
“It’s better to be overdressed than underdressed!” This is definitely something I like to live by too.
]]>I’m Rose, approaching my mid thirties. I have 2 boys, Miles (2.5) and Ned (9 weeks) and am married to my wonderful husband Ben. We live in country Victoria, close to the Great Ocean Road and the Otway Ranges, a beautiful part of the world.
I have a career history in retail sales, fashion buying and styling, office admin and travel consultancy. I love to travel, and feel lucky to have travelled far and wide prior to the global pandemic. Stylelistau is my ‘passion project’ - a creative outlet, and a way to keep in touch with the outside world while I’m a stay at home Mum.
After stepping away from 10 years in the fashion industry to begin a career in travel, I started to feel that something was missing in my life. I had a full wardrobe that wasn’t getting any love as I now wore a uniform, and although I followed many an influencer on instagram, I missed sourcing beautiful garments and creating the perfect outfit myself, plus the sharing aspect once you wear said garments..
So, from my humble abode in country Victoria, @stylelistau was born! A place for me to share my existing wardrobe, any future fashion finds & a way of getting back into a dialogue that lights a fire within so many of us. I love that Instagram has become one big conversation, where the question of ‘where did you find that?’ Is answered with the tap of your finger!
Each day is varied, but the main things I focus on are planning outfits and sourcing items, scheduling time to photograph outfits and shoot content, interact and post on social media, and add in to that normal Mum/family/everyday life!
This is determined by my genuine interest in certain brands and garments, I wouldn’t share something I don’t like or wouldn’t wear/use myself. I also like to shine a light on small business and women in business, giving exposure to those who may not have a big platform themselves.
Items like denim jeans, a leather or denim jacket, a little black dress, nude heels and a crisp white shirt are classic pieces that can be mixed and matched, and don’t date. As long as the items fit well and you take care of them, they can be styled various ways and have a long life in your wardrobe.
I am a hat lover from way back, and feel they are not only practical but are the ‘pièce de résistance’ of many an outfit for all seasons. I also have a simple pendant necklace in both rose gold and silver with matching simple earrings that is a beautiful addition to so many looks.
A straw hat! The style may change over time but it’s the perfect piece style wise and also protects your precious skin.
A warm coat! Whether it be a tailored wool coat, or a snug puffer jacket, finding an outer layer that matches with most outfits, suits your day to day life, and keeps the chill away is key during winter.
Accessorise! Bold jewellery and a statement red lip are easy ways to bring a bit of glamour to an outfit. You might also swap a cute cardi for a sparkly shrug to elevate a simple dress from day to night.
I love the saying ‘it’s better to be overdressed than underdressed!’ - a style statement to live by!
My name is Florence, known as @stylebyflossy. I love all things fashion which led me to start blogging about 10 years ago. I’m a full time office worker but always make time for what I love which is styling and creating great content for my audience.
I have always been into fashion, ever since I was young. I got my inspiration from my mother who has an appealing style and is able to create great looks from the pieces that she owns.
For me it is planning and scheduling my content ahead of time, ensuring that the content I’m capturing is taken in an aesthetically pleasing environment. I always make sure to create a list of essential items not to leave behind for shoots and become familiar with the shoot location by arriving a bit earlier. In addition, I need to plan ahead for when the content goes live.
I determine if the brand suits my brand identity and will work well with my audience.
My classics are a tailored blazer, classic jeans, button up white shirt, camel coat, white sneakers, white t-shirt, tailored pants, and a denim jacket!
I definitely cannot live without a stylish pair of earrings and a glamorous bag. These items add to any outfit you wear them with.
Flowy midi and maxi dresses! I love this flowing style as it is fashionable and comfortable.
Winter boots are a must! They keep you warm and looking good the whole winter through.
Pairing an outfit with a blazer, switching to a heel and adding a statement necklace, bag and a red lipstick takes your daytime outfit to the next level and leaves you ready for a night out.
You have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. It's possible to live the life you have imagined, your only limit is yourself.
To get your daily dose of confidence and style follow @stylebyflossy here!

Knitwear is always a good winter item but in 2021 it is not just a warm jumper but also knit dresses that are the style this winter. A long knit dress is both warm and stylish, taking the bodycon shape but also keeping you toasty. These dresses also work in the office and on the weekend, making them versatile and easy to wear all winter long.
Form hugging sweaters are out and comfort and oversized sweaters are in! Comfort is the way to go for 2021 and this is reflected in the sweater/knitwear styles for this season. Nothing beats wearing a cute chunky sweater on those blustery winter days. This style allows you to be both cozy and fashionable all winter long.
Since Gingham was invented in the 17th century, it has proved its versatility and relevance. In 2021 gingham is being used to highlight silhouettes; through figure-hugging dresses and stylish blazers gingham is taking the fashion world by storm. For a timeless piece you can keep for years to come, gingham is the way to go.
The fashion world is throwing back to the 80s with puff sleeves! Exaggerated balloon sleeves are now in style. Whether they are the sleeves of your dress or accentuating your knitwear, this fashion keeps you stylish and provides some extra fabric to snuggle up in all winter long.
Whether it is bootcut or barrel leg, loose jeans are in! Skinny jeans might show off our legs but they are not comfy, fashion is leaning more towards comfort and it is a trend we are loving! These styles are also traditionally more denim without the stretch material that often leads to your favourite pair of skinny jeans falling apart. Get comfy and stylish this winter with a pair of loose jeans.

First thing to do is to go through your wardrobe, lay everything out and find the items you wear the most. Find the items that you have that you may have forgotten about or that may have slipped to the back of your wardrobe. During the season you may have fallen into wearing the same few outfits but perhaps there are items that you had forgotten about that you can add back into your style. By pulling everything out, it allows you to assess what you have at your disposal and what you can transition into your winter wardrobe.
There are always going to be some gaps that you just can’t make up for with your summer wardrobe. Do you need to invest in some long sleeved shirts to slip under dresses, or some longer pants? Identify these gaps and write yourself out a shopping list. There are some essential items that should be included in your wardrobe:
1. A Winter Coat: It is important to have that warm outer-layer. At Stylefast, we make sure that our winter coats are both trendy and practical. Our range of jackets suit all styles and sizes. A winter coat ensures that no matter what you wear, you’ll be warm all winter long.
2. Long Sleeve Tops: Adding some long sleeve tops into your wardrobe allows you to layer up your outfits. Adding a simple long-sleeved top under a dress can create a whole new look while keeping you warm.
3. Some Warm Knits: Adding in some knits allows you to spruce up some of your older pieces by adding some colour contrast to your outfit while staying warm and snuggly in the winter months. A couple of quality knits can mean you can take some of those cooler summer outfits and transition into a winter ensemble.
4. Warm Pants: If you are relying on shorts and skirts in summer, you may need to add in some long pants or tights for your winter wardrobe. Adding in some quality denim allows you to transition your summer tops into winter and grabbing some stylish tights to wear with your skirts means that you are not losing your fashion pieces in the winter months.
5. Cosy Accessories: In winter, you want to keep warm but you don’t want to lose your sense of style. The solution? Accessorise! Add in a stylish scarf or a cute beanie to keep your outfit stylish and warm.
Once you have sorted your wardrobe and added in your winter essentials, it is time to get creative! By adding layers to your existing summer items, you can create an entirely new look, without the price tag. Simply add some long pants and a snazzy scarf to your summer top and you have a whole new outfit to wear out and about.
Another way to upscale your outfits is to layer up! Add a cute knit over your dress to add a new layer of texture and keep you toasty all day. This is also a great way to work around those days when the weather decides to throw back to summer.
The important thing to remember is you have a whole wardrobe at your disposal. Don’t limit yourself to a few items you wear over and over. Spice it up! Try a new look whenever you can to keep your wardrobe fresh all winter long
Unfortunately, your summer sandals, unlike the rest of your wardrobe, cannot transition with you into the winter months. It may be time to grab yourself some trendy new boots or some jazzy sneakers. These are practical while still adding to your outfit. At Stylefast, we offer a range of shoes that will keep your outfit up-to-date while also keeping your feet warm.
]]>You will find a pair of skinny jeans in nearly every woman’s wardrobe and we totally understand why. Their easy to wear and slimming effect on your legs makes them a favourite of ours too. We recommend a looser, flowy top to balance out the tighter fit. Another great thing about the skinny jeans is that it suits almost all body types so you can rest assured that you’ll look great in any pair.
Ripped jeans are a great way to add a little bit of interest to your outfit. A great way to tone down the edginess that all the frays and rips cause is by coupling them with more done up pieces on top. Try pieces that are sleek and offer more coverage like a sweater or blazer. You can also try finishing the look off with a pair of heels and a clutch for a truly chic look.
Boyfriend jeans are great for a casual weekend look. Who says stylish can’t be comfortable? We recommend wearing boyfriend jeans with something that defines your waist in order to balance out their loose fit. A loose knit jumper or t-shirt both worn half tucked in is a great way to do this.
Cropped jeans are normally skinny leg style that sit on your hips finishing about four centimetres above your ankle which makes these jeans perfect for wearing closed in shoes. Another great thing about these jeans is you can achieve just about any look with them – a casual weekend vibe, a cute work outfit or even a night out. Keep things simple on top! The focus of this outfit will be the length of the jeans.
High waisted jeans are super flattering and help to elongate your legs. While some might say the high waist is for your Grandmother we absolutely disagree! Try wearing your high waisted jeans with a lightweight cotton top, feminine blouse or camisole for a super simple, youthful look.
Maybe a denim jogger would be more of your style? Denim joggers are as comfy as track pants yet look like a loose, relaxed weekend jean. These allow you freedom of movement while still keeping your look stylish and trendy.
No matter your style, body type or the occasion – jeans will always have a great option for you. Have a look at some of our jeans here to see how you could start rocking some of your very own!
]]>I’m 57 years old and have been happily married to the love of my life for 35 years. We have 3 daughters and 1 son, and we were recently blessed with our 5th grandchild. I live on a property, close to the remote town of Carinda in far western NSW. I love to sew and create clothing for myself and clients and am actively involved in my small community.
My children. We had a sea change to the Gold Coast for 5 years, where I opened an interiors store called Maz Interiors which was predominantly “Shabby Chic” inspired. As the business grew, I incorporated workshops and shopping tours. What I really loved was the connections and friendships that were made by me teaching and inspiring other women. Fast forward to 2015, we decided that the city was not for us and returned to the country, selling my business. My children could see that my creativity and passion for sharing, inspiring, and connecting with women was not being used. So, they told me about blogging and what I could do on this platform. So with me being technically challenged, they set it up for me and here I am!
Definitely not as glamorous as you think. I am a one-man band with no assistant or help in any form. I take all my own photos, which can be incredibly challenging at times; I do my own hair and makeup; and scout for my own locations as I like to show different locations in my area. I also write and edit my content. I do on some occasions ask my mate and neighbour Jude, who’s pretty hand with a camera, to help me out when we both need a Saturday afternoon away from our husbands.
Firstly, I have to love their product and believe in it. Most of my collaborations have come from me firstly purchasing their clothing or products, then test running it; and if it meets all my expectations and requirements, then I will share with my followers and audience. I don’t actively seek out collaborations, the right ones just seem to organically find their way to me, and the brands I am currently working with love my uniqueness (I’m not your average fashion blogger) and authenticity which I absolutely love.
Living in the outback you don’t have the opportunities to get dressed up as much as those in the city do. As the elements are against you out here, heat, dust, mud, dirt road, burrs, and the occasional snake! So most of my essential pieces are basic staples that I can dress up and down: denim jacket, white denim skirt, a good pair of jeans, and a great pair of boots.
Ok this one is a no brainer, statement earrings, fedora hat, and a leopard scarf will always take an outfit from drab to fab.
I love my white denim skirt and an off the shoulder dress or top. Oh, also this is not a fashion item but I love my fake tan in summer! It just makes you feel so much better when you are showing more skin, especially at my age.
I love a great cape/poncho! I have quite a few but mainly in the neutral tones. You can have on basic outfit like white jeans and a black skivvy, then throw a cape or poncho over the top, pop on a fedora hat and you're looking hot.
I would recommend choosing your core piece knowing it will have to perform two different looks. I have a great leopard wrap dress, which I would wear a denim jacket and sneakers for daytime, and for nighttime change the shoes to heels or boots, glam up the earrings and change to a fur vest or wrap and tada you’re done.

]]>Check out some of our outfit ideas for you Easter events here!
A flowy dress is a great way to keep things comfortable but also look super chic so you can breeze through Good Friday lunch with friends and still sit comfortably at family brunch on Easter Sunday. This is a super versatile choice with so many ways you can make it your own whether you go for a pop of colour, earthy tone or classic print you can’t go wrong.
Easter isn't always the biggest event for everyone but still can be a great way to get together with friends and family. Keep things casual with jeans and a top. Jeans and a flowy top are a great way to hide any overindulging you do over the long weekend. You can go for a fun print or a plainer option depending on what you like.
Depending on where you are in Australia you might also be experiencing some cooler weather so why not take advantage of that by wearing breaking out some of your crew jumpers or knits? Not only will this option keep you warm but its also a stylish way to stay casual this Easter. A crew jumper would also work great with joggers so you can stay warm and comfortable all weekend long or you could even try pairing that flowy dress with a denim jacket.
]]>I am a mum of two (Jude 5 and Lola 2) and I am a creative person who likes to have fun!
I work in marketing predominantly, but I also write my blog Loved By Natty which features brands I love including fashion, party entertaining, mum hacks, recipes and cocktails. My favourite thing to do is make people laugh and I was actually a children’s entertainer for 14 years so I can be a bit hyper at times LOL!I live on the sunny Gold Coast with my family and we often go camping which we love! I can be a little bit extra at times and like to make the ordinary things in life a bit fancier. Like using the best crystal every day and not just a special occasion or making a simple picnic with the family a bit prettier with fancy decorations. I can't help it! It's just me.
I have always been obsessed with clothing and accessories. I started doing some Instagram posts on Maternity outfits that were not actually maternity, when I was pregnant with Lola and I had lots of ladies asking questions. So, from there I just started sharing my outfits more often and it’s kind of evolved. Now my most requested type of collaboration is to work with brands on creating fun fashion reels or IGTV posts for Instagram. I love creating them so it's a win-win!
I juggle fashion blogging with my everyday work, so on my blog days, I get the kids to school and then I get steaming! I steam all the outfits and figure out the accessories.
Then depending on the content, I am creating (an Instagram post, a blog or an Instagram reel or video) i will set up the area to film, do my hair and makeup and start shooting.
Some days I team up with another fashion blogger and we scout out nice walls or scenery to do our still shots and take pics for each other. After we get the shots or video content I then head home and start editing.
(And in between editing get my kids dinner and read bedtime stories!)
Once everything is edited it’s time to schedule posts and captions and then email off the content to the brand I am working with.
I like to work with brands that I honestly love and brands that are looking for long term partnerships. I think it is important to not just take on a job in the blogging world without a purpose and without believing in it yourself otherwise it is just not authentic. My personal style is bright & fresh but a little bit boho, so I like to work with brands that match my look.
The classics would have to be a denim jacket and a good knit. I live on the Gold Coast so winter doesn't get too cold so I can actually layer my favourite spring and summer dresses and still wear them in winter. Also, I have always and forever had a good pair of nude shoes in both flats and heels because they go with everything. And of course, a white shirt for layering and to wear with denim or skirts.
A good quality tan bag! It goes with everything. And oversized sunglasses. I have an addiction.
A white dress is an absolute must. It is just so fresh and can be dressed up or down for beach or cocktails. Also, a good hat that is fashionable to dress up an outfit on days I can't be bothered to do my hair!
I have two! I am obsessed with a good set of ankle boots. Tan or black are my go-to and a good quality coat or coatigan are a must to throw over an outfit and layer.
The fastest way to take a daytime look to night, is add some killer heels and some statement jewellery. But just choose either earrings or a necklace, not both. Sometimes adding a belt to cinch in the waist of a dress can also make it look instantly dressier too.
Better to be over dressed than under dressed.
Choose colours to suit your skin tone. You want to feel like an outfit compliments your skin, not washes you out.
Invest in good underwear! This can change the shape and fit of an outfit!
Don't be afraid to mix vintage with new! I love looking at op shops for vintage belts or bags or scarves.
Edit your wardrobe often so you can clear out and figure out what staples you need to upgrade - e.g. white shirts, jeans etc. Then you can pair together outfits and re wear outfits!

]]>Prints
This Autumn you can expect to see a lot of prints, particularly floral, animal and polka dots ones. A floral print is a great way to add some effortless elegance to your wardrobe while an animal or polka dot print will add flare to any outfit. Both are very easily incorporated into any wardrobe with so many different options in clothing to shoes and accessories.
Gingham
You will have no doubt seen gingham fabric making a rise this year and you can expect that to continue into Autumn. It is a super fun way to add some classic vibes to your wardrobe. Gingham is great too because it is perfect for almost any occasion with the right accessories. We recommend adding at least one gingham item to your wardrobe this Autumn.
Earthy Tones
We may not get as many of those Autumn colours in nature as they do in the Northern Hemisphere but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy earthy tones in our wardrobe. This Autumn you can expect to see a lot of browns, greens and earthy reds. Earthy tones will be great for creating an understated look that can carry you throughout the day and into the evening.
Linen
Linen should be a staple of every wardrobe. It is super easy to care for, durable and even better is that it is supposed to have wrinkles meaning you can get ready in the morning without having to iron anything! Its durability means that any linen pieces you add to your wardrobe this Autumn will last you for many seasons to come. Being super versatile is also another huge plus for linen. You can dress it up for work events or keep it low-key for a relaxed weekend vibe. Linen is also great for the cooler months as it helps your body to retain warmth without getting overheated.
Denims
You can never go wrong with adding denim to your wardrobe, especially as it starts to get cooler. High-waisted jeans are a flattering, effortless staple to add to your wardrobe with a great amount of versatility meaning you can wear them nearly anywhere. A denim jacket is also a must this Autumn. Not only will it keep you warm, but it will also let you keep some of your Summer items in your wardrobe rotation.

We love to build a community of like-minded women who love fashion which is why we were chuffed to get the chance to work with Jasmine Hunt. Learn more about Jasmine and her road to fashion blogging here.
I'm a small-town girl who moved to the city for university. I met my perfect man, finished uni, got married and now we have our three little ones (7 years, 5 years and 1)! I have a background in marketing and PR but have always loved fashion, photography and writing. Prior to maternity leave, I worked for a large agricultural body, as the editor for their magazine.
In 2011 I started blogging - just the usual lifestyle type things, but mostly affordable fashion. In 2014 I was at home on maternity leave with my first child, and I missed work! So, I decided to revamp my blog, and start an Instagram account to attach to it, and my initial topics were affordable fashion and what to wear when you're a new mum.
I used to say, 'pretty chuffed' all the time, for example: 'Hey, where did you get that dress from?' 'Oh, I got it from StyleFast, it was the last one in my size and I was pretty chuffed about it!' - and ironically, now I never say it!
I'm not sure about high fashion bloggers! But for me a typical day is waking up at the crack of dawn thanks to my little cherubs, then getting them ready for the day. I then get dressed into my outfit for the day, take the kids to school and then usually I will either run any errands that need to be done or take my youngest to the park. I then film reels whilst he is napping (or at day care), and then I throw my tripod and camera into the car and take my photo for the day on the way to pick up the eldest two from school! After dinner and bedtime for the kids, I then spend a fair bit of time on emails and replying to messages or comments; and editing my photos and videos if needed.
I only work with brands I already love, and/or I know my followers would love! I am all about fun, affordable style; and items you can wear to more than one type of occasion. I also like quality items that are good value, and to work with companies that are striving towards diversity and inclusive sizing.
I can't go past a fun dress! I wear dresses most days, they are just so easy to wear and perfect for our Brissy weather.
Fun, comfy flats; and sunglasses - I love them! I have so many different styles which I change daily based on my outfit or mood.
A fun sundress in a cute print - one that you can dress up or down.
A pair of great, comfortable jeans.
Oh yes! So many tips! Add lots of jewellery - layered necklaces. Also, a chic, low bun in your hair can dress up a daytime outfit, or if you have short hair, slick it back. Add drop earrings. Swap out your shoes for strappy heels or boots, add red or pink lipstick and a clutch. Belting a looser dress or top can dress up an outfit as well.
Wear what you love! Life is too short to not wear what you want. If you love it, wear it.
Firstly, I would pair it with tan flats and a rattan bag for a casual outfit - tan works so well with navy! Add a hat for a boho vibe. I would then pair with sneakers if I had a lot of errands to run that day. Another way I would wear it is with tan wedges and a tan clutch - perfect for a birthday party, dinner date or a BBQ. This dress is fully button-down so can be worn as a cape as well. Pair with jeans and a cami. Simply add heels and gold drop earrings to take it to evening!

]]>There is no one way to correctly organise a wardrobe but instead finding out what works best for you. The right mix of practicality and pretty will make your getting ready for anything a breeze! Here are the steps you can take to getting your wardrobe right for you.
The first step you should take when organising anything is decluttering. In terms of clothing and accessories, the easiest way to do this is by grouping like items so that you can compare them on a whole. From here you will be able to determine what items still work for you, what items need repair, which could stand to be donated and those that are beyond repair.
While it’s empty take a quick second to wipe the wardrobe down and get rid of any rogue bobby pins or lone earrings you find. This plus all the hard work you did decluttering will give you a really solid foundation to ensuring your wardrobe gets maximum use.
Now that you know what you have left and your wardrobe is nice and clean you can now decide what storage configurations will work best not only in the space but for you. Think practically about how you get ready in the morning and what would be the most practical use of the space. You might have found that you have more hangable clothes than folded so you could potentially get rid of your big dresser in favour of more hanging space or vice versa.
The beauty of this part is that you can go wallet friendly or all out depending on what your budget and needs are. The biggest focus here is setting up a system that will work for you long-term. Don’t make choices based on their look but rather ones that you see yourself being able to maintain.
We recommend organising by category so that you always know where everything lives. This will make getting ready so much easier than hunting for specific items throughout your wardrobe. It will also help you keep track of the things you own allowing you to maintain the work you did decluttering.
If you like you can hang everything but if you don’t have the space or know that won’t work for you long term, we recommend hanging anything delicate like dresses or skirts as well as more bulky, structured items like coats or blazers. Pro organiser Marie Kondo recommends hang everything facing in the same direction with longer items on the left working towards shorter items on the left. Coupling this with the organising by category, your wardrobe should already be looking amazing!
Organisation shouldn’t end at just the things you can easily see but you can further this into your drawers as well. Measure the space you have so you know what drawer dividers will work best. Then roll things like t-shirts, pyjamas, workout clothes, socks and underwear into these boxes. Not only will it save space and look nice but you will also be able to easily see when it’s time to do laundry!
Now that you have your space sorted you will be able to see what you have and areas that you could stand to add a few more pieces. We recommend choosing some staple items to make up the bulk of our wardrobe. Ideally these pieces should be super versatile with a few changes being able to carry you through all life's events and seasons. We love a good maxi dress! Paired with the right accessories it can be worn anywhere. You also can't go wrong with a white button up blouse to pair with jeans or a maxi skirt. Plus, don't forget a simple denim jacket, perfect to throw over that maxi dress.
]]>
If you’re new to playing with your style, it’s easiest to keep it simple to start with. Choose one item that is the star of the show, and don’t overcomplicate the rest.
The length of the maxi dress can easily make it look too formal for some occasions. That’s why we recommend wearing simple and casual shoes for an everyday look. For instance, cowboy boots, flat sandals or trainers will look great with a maxi dress! However, if the dress itself is very casual and relaxed, a simple pair of heeled sandals is great for elevating the look.
The art of how to wear a maxi dress in a chic way is to play with contrasting items. We tend to associate the maxi length with formal events, so pairing a maxi dress with more casual pieces creates contrast. It also ensures the outfit doesn’t look too formal or stuffy. On a chilly day, throw on a denim or leather jacket, or for the office, a blazer to add structure to a flowy maxi.
As with the other parts of the outfit, the accessories need to offer balance to the outfit.
Here the bold and colourful print of the maxi dress is the main event. The heeled boots are casual enough to keep the outfit relaxed, and the neutral nude leather matches with the light pink in the print.
Remember what we said about balance? Here the shape of the dress is so casual, especially with the rope tie, so even with heels, the look is not too formal! A loose and relaxed dress like this is great to just throw on any day and paired with the heels it works at any event.
This look is a go-to for maxi dress lovers, especially for the bohemians at heart! If you’re just getting started adding prints and patterns to your wardrobe, a small pattern like this is easier to wear than a big and bold one. This look is so versatile, too – you could wear it to ride into the sunset, or just out to dinner!
This number has a playful print, but the black and white colouring makes it easy to wear day in and day out. With a belt incorporated, it’s perfect for accentuating your waist while getting some arm coverage. Chuck on a pair of boots and dress it up with statement earrings for dinner.
]]>When done right, leopard print looks fresh and modern. What’s more, it’s a great way of adding a bit of personality to your look! Here’s how to look classy AND sassy in leopard print.
The number one tip we have for wearing leopard print is don’t overdo it! Leopard print is eye-catching enough on its own, so let it be the star of the show. Combine leopard print with neutral colours, basics and classic accessories for a balanced look. Or, use leopard print the same as you would use an accent colour in your outfit!
Gone are the days of skin-tight leopard print numbers. Pair a flowy leopard print dress with classic accessories for a balanced look. You could go as simple as an elegant pair of strappy heels in nude or metal, or black boots for a more edgy look. Finish the look with some delicate gold or silver jewellery!
Leopard flats bring a bit of flair and fun to a classic outfit. You could go as simple as jeans, t-shirt and a leather bag! Try ballet flats for the office or slides for a more casual look. It’s an outfit you can rely on day in and day out.
Combine a flowy leopard blouse with a pair of denim shorts or your favourite skinny jeans. Finish the look with sparkling white trainers or a pair of sleek sandals for an effortlessly cool look. This is a look you can wear anywhere – just upgrade it with heels and hoop earrings for a dressier look!
The easiest way to start incorporating leopard print to your outfits is with accessories. Just like adding a bright pop of colour, leopard print works great as an accent and compliments neutrals. Remember to keep things simple here too by sticking to only one leopard print item! Think a leopard print belt, a purse, a scarf or a pair of earrings. One of the most subtle ways of using leopard print is with vintage-style sunnies or hair clips emulating leopard print. It’s such a classic look, many people don’t even think of it as a leopard print!
For a relaxed look, you can’t go wrong with a leopard print maxi skirt or cozy pants. Fitted leopard joggers go perfectly in an athleisure look. On the other hand, wide-legged leopard print pants can easily be worn in both casual and formal looks. Just pair your leopard print bottoms with a simple tank top or a jumper in winter! Complete the outfit with sandals or trainers for a casual yet fun look.
